More capacity, safer circuits, and room to grow, with a clear price before work starts. Panel and service upgrades for homes and businesses in Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa and the Kansas City metro, done by a Master Electrician with 16+ years of experience.
Low Battery Warning: Signs Your Panel Needs Work
- Breakers trip often or won't stay reset
- Your panel is full, with no room for new circuits
- You're adding an EV charger, hot tub, generator, or major appliance
- You're planning a remodel or finished basement
- Lights dim or flicker when large appliances start
- The panel is warm, buzzing, rusted, or smells like burning (call right away)
Panel Upgrade vs. Panel Replacement
A panel upgrade adds capacity, for example moving from a 100-amp to a 200-amp service, so your home can handle an EV charger, hot tub, generator or finished basement. A panel replacement swaps an old, damaged or full panel for a new one of the same size. We look at your current panel and what you plan to add, and run a load calculation when needed, so you only pay for what your home actually needs.
How It Works
1. Send a photo. Email a photo of your panel with the door open, plus the label, to info@8bitelectric.com, or call 913-735-5469.
2. Get a clear price. We review your panel and what you want to add, then give you a price before any work starts.
3. Upgrade day. We do the work, test every circuit, and walk you through the new panel.
How much does a panel upgrade cost?
It depends on your current panel, the size of the upgrade, where the panel and meter are, and what you're adding. We give you a clear price before any work starts, and a photo of your panel is usually enough to get going.
Do I need an upgrade for an EV charger? Not always. See our EV charger page.
Adding a generator? See our generator page.
Text a photo of your panel to 913-735-5469 to get started.
